Youth Tour

Each June, the cooperative sends three high school juniors on an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. After a week of sightseeing, tours of historic and governmental buildings, and meetings with representatives and senators, these students return to Missouri with a unique perspective of our nation's capital.

The winners of the 2008 Crawford Electric Youth Tour trip to Washington, D.C., are high school juniors (left to right) Alexandria Witt of Sullivan, Kaitlyn Hatcher of Steelville and Carmolee Patt of Bourbon. These three students will become part of an 80-member Missouri delegation and join more than 1,300 young people from across the United States on the seven day trip to D.C..
