Field Work Notices

Meter Update Notification

Crawford Electric Cooperative technicians are updating the metering system that records and transmits kilowatt-hour readings. This work is part of our regular efforts to ensure that our electric distribution system continues to deliver the best-possible service to our members.

The meter update will briefly interrupt your electric service as one of our meter techs changes out your existing meter and replaces it with a new, fully automated digital meter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. When the technician arrives at your meter, he will attempt to contact you prior to performing the meter change. He will leave behind an informational door hanger. Your monthly billing statement following the meter exchange will include two readings, one from the old meter and one from the new meter, which was set to start at 0 (zero). If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to call the co-op at 800-677-2667, then press 0 (zero) to be connected to a member service representative.
