2024 Director Election
Petition Period May 15 - July 17, 2024
Members interested in serving on the board of directors may begin filing nominating petitions for the 2024 election at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 15. The petition period closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.
The election will be decided by a vote of members. Advance voting period takes place from Aug.16 - Sept.16. In-person voting takes place from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at annual meeting on Sept. 18.
Each year, one board member from each of the three districts is up for election. The expiring terms in 2024 are currently held by Justin "Bink" Blankenship (District 1), Doug Murphy (District 2) and Jim Cottrell (District 3). Members interested in becoming candidates should review the cooperative's Bylaws, especially Article IV Sections 4 and 10. These define personal and membership requirements for election or service, conflicts of interest that would prohibit service as a director, and disclosure requirements of campaign contributions or third-party payments. District representation is based on the permanent residence of the candidate. Contact the co-op for help determining your district or view the district map (pdf). The numbered squares in each district correspond to the first two numbers of your account.
